News Trend: Roger Federer Doubles Up With Two Sets of Twins

Shortly after withdrawing from the Madrid Masters to be with his pregnant wife, Roger Federer has announced the birth of twin boys. The babies were born on May 6, a few weeks earlier than their due date, and are reported to be doing very well. Federer is already the father of twin daughters Myla and Charlene, who will turn five in July.

Having two sets of twins in the same family is extremely rare with the odds as high as one in 700,000. Multiple births seem to run in Federer's family as his sister Diana, also a tennis pro, has a set of twins.

Even after winning several tennis championships, Federer's life was not complete until he met his match. His soul mate had arrived with Mirka Vavrinec, who he met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The former Women's Tennis Association competitor had to retire from competition due to a foot injury. The pair fell hopelessly in love and were married in the spring of 2009. The couple welcomed identical twin girls, just a few months later.

The worldwide tennis champion, Federer, is a pro known for his speed and accuracy, drive and determination. The 17 time winner of Grand Slam Tournaments has become a well known name both in sports and through endorsements. He has earned every penny in the bank as his display of good sportsmanship and putting family first has gone a long way. Roger Federer has doubled up with two sets of twins within the last five years. A singles champ for the most part, Federer is prone to producing double takes with his handsome looks and apparently two at a time when it comes to children.

Looking back a decade or two, Federer gained recognition in tennis and proceeded to compete in coveted titles which he promptly won. A calm, focused attitude was always forefront and natural in his swing, both backhanded and close to the net. Winning a victory encompassed much practice, as Federer made a name for himself.

Growing up in a multi-cultural family that spoke several languages, Federer and his older sister, Diana, found tennis to be a way to achieve. It did not take long for Federer to claim high ranking in the sport of tennis.

Federer has continued his success in many worldwide tournaments, but has always kept family first. With numerous opportunities heading his way at all times, Federer does not give into peer pressure. His personal life involves relaxing with his family and long time friends as he savors his accomplishments with glimpses into more victories with each changing moment.

The baby boys arrived on May 6 and were named Leo and Lenny. Federer quickly took to Twitter to announce the happy news. He was congratulated by friends and followers around the globe. He said goodbye to the Madrid Masters to be with his family, his top priority, but is expected to re-appear at the French Open in just a few weeks.

Federer is said to be worth $180 million as his winnings and endorsements have added up. Promoting everything from razor blades and apparel to fancy cars, the pro would be a likely candidate to advertise baby equipment. Along side his lovely wife, Federer is a lucky man with two sets of twins. The twin girls will surely be good little helpers as the family welcomes the new arrivals.
